SINOPSIS
El espíritu de la fiesta es a la vez conservador y transgresor, representación de la necesidad humana de un tiempo para la creación, a través de la danza, la música, la máscara y el humor.

En las fiestas de Graus, en el Pirineo Aragonés, conviven la memoria y la fantasía, el rito y la risa. Un humor que es patrimonio del pueblo, una expresión universal, propia del carnaval. La fiesta aparece como una necesidad vital, no para recrear el pasado sino para vivir el presente y el futuro.

Un viaje personal al centro de la fiesta, en su dimensión antropológica y social, a la búsqueda de sus significados más universales.

SYNOPSIS
The spirit of festivals is at once conservative and transgressive. It represents the human need for a time of creation, through dance, music, masks and humor.

At the festival in Graus, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, memory and fantasy, religious rites and general merriment, go hand in hand. This humor is part of the town's heritage, and it's a universal expression typical of carnival. The festival emerged as a vital necessity, not as a way to recreate the past but as a way to experience the present and the future.

This documentary is a very personal journey to the anthropological and social heart of the festival, in search of its most universal meanings.
